On page 11, line 3, after the semicolon ";" by deleting the word "and"; and

On page 11, line 6, by deleting the period "." and by inserting "; and"; and

On page 11, between lines 6 and 7, by inserting the following:

"4.Identify the academic programs to be made available to the citizens of the Commonwealth through the Commonwealth Virtual University under Section 16 of this Act."; and

On page 19, line 15, after the word "programs" by inserting "identified in the strategic agenda under Section 6 of this Act and"; and

On page 19, line 18, after the word "Education" by inserting a period "." and deleting the remainder of lines 18 through 20 in their entirety and inserting in lieu thereof the following: "In meeting the needs of a major metropolitan area, Northern Kentucky University, working in collaboration with the state's doctoral degree granting institutions, shall ensure access to the broad array of postgraduate degrees necessitated by serving a rapidly expanding population."; and

On page 19, lines 21 through 27, after "(2)" by deleting lines 21 through 27 in their entirety and inserting in lieu thereof the following: "The council shall ensure the involvement of the presidents of each of the nine (9) state postsecondary education institutions, the executive director of the Kentucky Educational Television Network, a representative of the Association of Independent Kentucky Colleges and Universities, and other representatives as the council deems appropriate.; and

On page 20, line 1, by deleting line 1 in its entirety; and

On page 20, line 2, after the word "council" by deleting the remainder of line 2 in its entirety; and

On page 20, line 3, before the word "shall" delete "Advisory Committee,"; and

On page 20, line 4, after "systems" by inserting "to be used by the Commonwealth Virtual University"; and

On page 20, line 7, after "delivered by" by deleting "distance learning"; and by inserting "the Commonwealth Virtual University; however, this does not preclude the University of Kentucky and the University of Louisville or independent colleges from offering baccalaureate and master's degree programs or other course offerings, and community colleges and technical institutions from offering associate and technical degree programs or other courses through the Commonwealth Virtual University."
