The business meeting of the Lamar County Board of Education was held at the LCBOE and was called to order by Chair Ron Smith on May 12, 2015. Other members present were: Horace Hightower, Susan Byars, Sue O’Neal and Danny Turner.
On motion by Ron Smith the agenda was approved.

A. On motion by Susan Byars, seconded by Sue O’Neal, the Board voted to approve the adjustment to the 2015 BOE Calendar from October 13 to October 6, 2015.
B. On motion by Susan Byars, seconded by Horace Hightower, the Board unanimously voted to approve the following clubs for the 2015-2016 school year – LCMS Boarder Patrol Club; LCMS Tri-M Music Honor Society; LCPS Imagineers Club; LCPS 1st & 2nd Grade Stem Club.
C. On motion by Ron Smith, seconded by Danny Turner, the Board unanimously voted on the SNP Bid Award recommendations for SY 2015-2016.
On motion by Susan Byars, seconded by Horace Hightower, the Board unanimously voted to go into executive session to discuss or
deliberate upon the appointment, employment, compensation, hiring, disciplinary action or dismissal, or periodic evaluation or rating of a
public officer or employee. On motion by Ron Smith, seconded by Danny Turner, the Board unanimously voted come out of executive session and go back into regular session.
