Or,

WE PRIDE OURSELVES

ON OUR FRIENDLY APPROACH TO SPORT,

WHERE CHILDREN COME FIRST.

Our club exists to promote the game for all players; whatever their age or ability, boys and girls, from starting school up to the age of 18. All are welcome.

Mums, dads, grandparents, partners etc are also very welcome as supporters and have a valuable role to play in making the club a success.

We are based at DHS for Boys, where we use the facilities of the school, including the rubber crumb.

We provide:

  • A programme of rugby coaching for boys and girls leading to competitive rugby against local teams from Devon and Cornwall.
  • Coaching sessions at the club on Sunday mornings from 10am. (Older age groups also have extra sessions on Wednesday evenings).

An annual membership fee of £50(a reduction applies to additional siblings) is payable at registration which is agreed at the AGM and is subject to change depending on the club’s financial status. We aim to keep fees to a minimum. Each age group also collect a small match fee.

We also run a social programme that is open to all the members of the family.

The ‘DHSOB Sharks’ notice board,on the club’s website, shows the programme offered by the rugby club.

Willing helpers are never turned away!

The club is run entirely by its members on a voluntary basis and we are always looking for more people to help. Each age group is always on the lookout for new sponsors so if you know of anyone who may be able to help please let a member of the committee know.

“You too can be part of the club….get involved as a volunteer”

Helping out is a great way to get to know people and to contribute to the Club’s development and you don’t necessarily need to know anything about rugby?

Each age group is expected to act as ‘hosts’ for at least one home match during the season so you may be asked to help out. Remember you can support your child and the rugby club in many different ways!
