Project Patch is a non-profit Christian-based residential treatment center for at-risk adolescents aged 12-17. Located in the beautiful mountains of Garden Valley, Idaho just one hour from Boise. It is an outdoor lover's paradise with abundant wildlife and activities to enjoy.
Our school offers an educational program that is fullyaccreditedbyAdvancEd. Students who attend are good kids who are starting to make unhealthy decisions. Most Project Patch students go on to complete their high school diplomas and many attend college after Patch. Class sizes are small and classroom management issues are minimal and handled by support staff. Teachers are allowed a high level of autonomy in the classroom and enjoy less bureaucracy.
Project Patch works on a year-round schedule with 10 weeks’ instruction and 3 weeks’ non-instructional time throughout the calendar year.
On-campus housing with very affordable rent is available.
The right applicant will be a certified Secondary Education teacher for the state of Idaho, with endorsement(s) in Mathematics or Science.If thesuccessful applicant only has one of these endorsements, Project Patch will pay for thefulfillment of requirements for anapplicant to acquire Emergency Certification for the other.

Curriculum Development:
•Prepare materials and classrooms activities typical for a one-room schoolhouse type setting.
•Modify the general education curriculum for special-needs students based upon a variety of instructional techniques and instructional technology.
•Working through our mastery-based program, establish clear objectives for all lessons, units, and projects and communicate those objectives to students.
Teaching:
•Instruct through individual tutoring, demonstrations, and limited lectures in the subjects of English and Social Studies with grades ranging from 7-12, including some organizing of instruction around the needs of those students below grade level.
•Develop and implement strategies to meet the needs of students with various levels of achievement, motivation, and ability.
•Work with different instructional computer programs in the teaching process of students
•Encourage classroom management with the help of constant in-class support staff.
