June 17, 2014

On behalf of the India Field Hockey Club Tournament Committee, we welcome all players, coaches, and managers to our 7th annual Junior Tournament. We welcome over 50 teams in 9 differnet age groups.

The tournament will be carried out using the current Rules of Hockey (May 1, 2009). Time will be controlled by the bench; games will start and stop with a single horn blast. The bench will give a warning blast of 1 minute before the start of the game or start of half. A full set of technical regulations will be avaliable at the technical bench and at the information booth. Please note, mouth guards and shin guards are mandatory at this tournament.

With the short turnaround of matches, there will be no time available to warm up on the pitch. We ask that teams warm up outside the field, and depart the field as soon as their match has ended. Changing rooms are available for teams to use; volunteers will be available to assist you.

Information tent will be set up close to the upper Tamanawis Field (Tamanawis 1). Tournament results and standings will be posted at this tent.

Once your team has played all pool games please visit the information tent to find out the schedule for playoff games. Schedule for Sunday games will also be posted on our website. (www.indiaclub.ca)

Physio will be available at both Tamanawis and Newton Fields.

For all your hockey equipment supplies, please visit the AK Pro West tent. (available only at Tamanawis Field)

Please note that there will be no parking allowed at Tamanawis Field. Parking is available at Tamanawis Secondary school located at 12600 - 66th Avenue, Surrey. You can park at the school parking lot and walk up to the fields.

Games for U12 teams will be played at Newton Atheletic Park located at 7417 - 128th Street, Surrey. We ask all U12 teams to come to the Tamanawis Field after their games to enjoy food and other festivities.

Lunch will be provided for all teams and spectators on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Food tent will be set up in the Tamanawis Field Parking lot.
