OLMC PRINCIPAL MESSAGE

11-22-17

The faculty, staff and administration would like to wish all our families a very

Happy Thanksgiving.

THANKSGIVING FOOD DRIVE:

Thank you to all our families who donated food for the OLMC Thanksgiving Food Drive. It is nice to know we are able to give back to our community during the holiday season. Thank you again for participating in this event.

CALENDAR RAFFLES:

All families will be receiving their Calendar Raffles in their folders today. All families are required to sell $200 worth of calendars. If you have any questions, please contact the Main Office.

BOX TOPS FOR EDUCATION:

The winning class for October was the 8th grade! Our November collection continues until Thursday, November 30th! At the end of each month, the class with the most Box Tops will be given a free snack at lunch.

SCRIP ORDERS:

Scrip Orders are due November 30th. Remember a percentage of each card is credited back to your mandatory fundraising fee.

BACKGROUND CHECKS AND SAFE ENVIRONMENT VIDEO:

Every parent who volunteers at the school or hopes to be a chaperone for their child’s class trip MUST complete a background check and watch the Safe Environment video. If you have not done this, please call Mrs. Coburn to set up an appointment to complete the paperwork and view the video.

FUNDRAISER VOLUNTEERS:

We are still looking for volunteers for our Craft Fair on Sunday, December 3rd. If you are able to help out on Sunday, please let Mrs. Coburn know. Notices will be sent home reminding all Craft Fair volunteers of their scheduled time for both Saturday and Sunday.

COLD WEATHER:

As the cold weather is approaching, we want to remind you to make sure your child has a coat and any accessories you feel necessary with them as we will be going out for recess as long as the weather permits.

MORNING DROP OFF:

This is just a reminder to remember to drive slowly into the parking lot in the morning. It is important to make sure you slow down when turning into the parking lot, as there are many students and parents walking to the back entrance of the school.

LUNCH RECESS:

Students will be going outside for recess as long as the weather permits. Please make sure your child has the appropriate jacket, hat, and gloves for outdoor recess.

FINANCIAL OBLIGATIONS:

It is very important that families remain up-to-date with all financial responsibilities. It is imperative that families do their best to stay current with their tuition payments. At this time, all families should have paid through November.

PK-K-1st GRADE CHRISTMAS CONCERT:

This is a reminder that our PK-K-1st Grade Christmas Concert will be held on Friday,

December 15th at 1:00pm in the school gym. We invite all parents, grandparents, aunts and

uncles to attend this event. Siblings will be permitted to attend the concert, but we ask that they return to

class after the concert.

CHRISTMAS CONCERT GRADES 2-8:

The Christmas Concert for 2nd-8th Grades will be held on Friday, December 15th at 7:00pm in the Church.

Students should arrive at the Church at 6:30pm and sit in their assigned areas. We ask that parents do not

bring any food or drinks into the Church.

CHRISTMAS WREATHS:

Anyone who is interested in ordering Christmas Wreaths, we are trying to have the orders delivered in time for our Craft Fair, so we ask that you get your orders in to us earlier than December 1st. We would like to have orders in to the Main Office by November 27th in order to have the wreaths delivered by December 1st.
