OLDMANS TOWNSHIPPLANNING BOARD
REORGANIZATION MEETING
JANUARY 16, 2018
The Reorganization Meeting of the Oldmans Township Planning Board was held on January 16, 2018. Meeting was called to order by Planning Board Secretary Melinda Taylor at 6:30 PM. This meeting was held in compliance with the Sunshine Law.
Swearing in of Re-appointed Members by Secretary Melinda Taylor:

IN ATTENDANCE: Sandy Collom, Dan Daly, Sam Guida (6:50), Sue Miller, Anthony Musumeci, Tina Nipe, Jay Perry, Earl Ransome, Steve Smith, Dean Sparks and Rae Walzer (6:55).
REORGANIZATION RESOLUTIONS:
1.ELECTION OF CHAIRPERSON – Sandy Collom was nominated by Steve Smith and seconded by Tine Nipe. All members voted in favor of Sandy Collom as Chairperson.
2.ELECTION OF VICE CHAIRPERSON – Steve Smith was nominated by Sandy Collom and seconded by Earl Ransome. All members voted in favor of Steve Smtih as Vice Chairperson.
3.APPOINTMENT OF BOARD SOLICITOR – There were four applicants interested in the position. Jay Perry nominated Adam Telsey and seconded by Earl Ransome; there were an insufficient number of “aye” votes for Mr. Telsey. Ronald Uzdavinis was nominated by Steve Smith and seconded by Earl Ransome. All members voted in favor of the nomination.
4.APPOINTMENT OF BOARD SECRETARY – Melinda Taylor was nominated by Steve Smith and seconded by Tina Nipe. All members voted in favor of the nomination.
5.APPOINTMENT OF BOARD ENGINEER – Thomas Tedesco was nominated by Steve Smith and seconded by Anthony Musumeci. All members voted in favor of the nomination.
6.APPOINTMENT OF PLANNER – This selection was tabled for future discussion. There was discussion about continuing with Lou Joyce or choosing a new planner. A “Request for Proposal” must be re-advertised since only Mr. Joyce submitted paperwork.
7.PLANNING BOARD MEETING NIGHTS – Third Monday of each month beginning at 7:00 PM with the exception of February which shall be held Tuesday, February 20th.
Steve Smith made a motion to approve, Sam Guida seconded and all agreed.
8.OFFICIAL NEWSPAPER – South Jersey Times
Earl Ransome made a motion to approve, Steve Smith seconded and all agreed.
SUBCOMMITTEES:Tabled until February 20th meeting.
PUBLIC COMMENT:None.
There being no further business, on motion by Anthony Musumeci, seconded by Jay Perry, all agreed to adjourn the meeting at 7:15.
