PAYDIRT PLAYOFF PREDICTIONS

This is like shooting dice but always fun trying...So, here is the annual effort at predicitng who will be ij and who will be out come the end of the season

OK....In the AFC, let's select the division winners and then take a shot at the 3 wild cards from each conference...

AFC East- New England Patriots (easiest choice in football this season): New England is loaded with talent that is far superior to anyone else in the division. However, the league's second season of weighted scheduling could become a factor as Pats have non-division match-ups against Philadelphia, Atlanta, Minnesota, Seattle, and Kansas City.

AFC Central- Cincinnati Bengals: Bengals a league powerhouse and remain so even as QB Drew Brees begins aging process. They have a rugged schedule within their division but also have games versus Philadelphia, Atlanta, Kansas City, New England, Seattle, and Los Angeles.

AFC West- Kansas City Chiefs: KC could be challenged out West but have a very workable schedule.

Wild Cards-Always hard to predict this group of teams but here we go. Not really seeing 3 super solid wild card squads this year so this could get wild and whacky. Denver, Indianapolis, and San Francisco! TBH, have no clue …

Who wins AFC and goes to title game you ask? Cincinnati Bengals seem as good a choice as any.

In the NFC?

NFC East- Philadelphia Eagles: Prohibitive favorites but have been notorious annual underachievers. This has to be the year right?

NFC Central-Minnesota Vikings: Vikes another team that is league power but, like Philly, has never made it to the Big Dance. The Frozen North needs something good for once.

NFC West-Atlanta Falcons:High flying Birds love to score and should do so a lot again this season. Is a SB in their future as well?

Wild Cards: Dallas Cowboys, Los Angeles Rams, and New York Giants! G-men in the post-season????

Who wins NFC? Should be Eagles but got a funny feelin' dem funky birds from the City of Bro Love gonna funk it up again. Gonna take a bit of a reach on Falcons.

Champs? TBH, a Falcons-Bengals final does not contain the type of talent levels of past champions but the league does seem to be balancing a bit over time. Cinci with a bit better over-all skill set wins it all ...
