Starting in 1963 through to 1969 Little Caesar played The Greenhurst Dance Pavilion in Thurstonia Park, almost every Saturday night from the May long weekend through to Labour Day. It was an amazing experience. At 8.30 p.m. the place was deserted, thenBANG! 800 to a 1000 people showed up from nowhere and crowded into the second floor dance hall. The record night was 1200 bodies. The floor used to move up & down to the rhythm of the music and no air conditioning. Of all the bands that played GreenhurstCaesar wasOwner,Helen “Mom”Line’s”favorite. We were family. Mom ran a tight ship, knew everybody, most by name. Many friendships & marriages can be traced back to couples & people that met at Greenhurst.
