Officials Certification/Training Clinics, 2015/2016

This year the Colorado Association of USA Track & Field will offer two certification/training clinics – in Colorado Springs (Dec 13th) and Boulder (Jan 9th); details are provided below. They’re about 4 hours long, covering officiating techniques for all officials’ positions through classroom presentations and practical demonstrations on the track, plus we’ll have a number of handouts. We'll also cover safety issues and the USATF certification process.

Everyone’s welcome to attend the clinic; those who don't intend to be, or are uncertain about being certified are invited to attend -- high school officials, coaches, and others – to sharpen their skills.

There’s a $5.00 clinic fee. For those being certified, there’s a $25.00 certification fee which includes a 2016 USATF rule book mailed to you when it’s printed in February 2016. Certification also requires annual membership in USA Track & Field ($30/year).

If you plan to be at a clinic, please send an e-mail to Rich Schornstein, Officials’ Certification Chair, at .to confirm your attendance and the date, so we'll have adequate materials available.
