The meeting was called to order by Pres. Nissen and the confirmation of public meeting notice was affirmed by Clerk Nissen

No one was present at the meeting.
BOB LEONARD; DOUSMAN FIRE DISTRICT UPDATE
B. Leonard went over monthly report. He reported that they have had 2 big ground fires. They also had an accident with motorcycle that needed Flight for Life and another with a car that Flight for Life had to be called.
The new fire chief, Chief Bowen, will be officially starting on 5/18/15. B. Leonard will be working with him.
FRIENDS FOR A GREATER DOUSMAN; USE OF CORY PARK
This will be the 3rd year of Wednesday nights during softball games that the Friends will be using the park to sell food and drinks. They are asking for the facility at no charge as in past years.
C. Queen made a motion to waive the fee for the Friends for a Greater Dousman for use of Cory Park on Wednesday nights. Pres. Nissen seconded. Carried.

POLICE DEPARTMENT
Chief Hartert went over the monthly report. He stated that they an investigation is ongoing on a sudden death on Cramer Avenue.
On May 13th, there will be the annual Service Ceremony, starting at WCTC ending up on TT down Hwy 18 to the church on Sawyer Road. They will be arriving at the church at approximately 6:40, with a service starting at 7:00 with a small meal afterwards.
Drug collection day will be Saturday May 16th at Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital from 10:00 a.. to 2:00 p.m. Bring all your unused prescriptions to be disposed of.
Officer Supple is now retired and B rent Best will be taking his place.
DPW/SEWER/WATER DEPARTMENT
The Dousman Frogs had approached the Village employees that they would like a net or something along 1st base line due to foul balls and the risk of someone getting injured. J. Kitelinger looked into making the fence higher which was very costly, approximately $9000. Another option was to put a net along that baseline approximately 800 for net. They have received some interest from a couple of places to donate money towards this project so the Village’s cost would be $500 - $800.
Pres. Nissen made a motion to purchase the net for the ball diamond. H. Dessart seconded. Carried.
J. Kitelinger updated the Board as to the status of the Well #1 Chemical Room. He stated that the plans are in DNR hands waiting to get approval.
He also received 2 proposals for the sludge study survey. He stated that Ruekert & Mielke’s bid was $5800 and Delta Engineering was $8500.
Pres. Nissen made a motion to approve the proposal from R & M at $5800. R. Hawk seconded Carried.
Main Street update – Wednesday they will be doing concrete and work in phase 3. Letters went out and were hand delivered to residents telling them that they would not be able to use their driveways during the day, but at the end of every day they would put a plate across so they can get in/out of their driveways at night.

APPOINTMENT OF DEPUTY CLERK/TREASURER FOR ANOTHER TERM
Will be done later in the agenda with the Clerk/Treasurer is appointed.

NEW BUSINESS
RESOLUTION #02-15 PUBLIC RECORDS
Pres. Nissen made a motion to approve Resolution #02-15. C. Queen seconded. Carried.
RESOLUTION #03-15 A RESOLUTION TO DEMAND THAT WAUKESHA COUNTY PAY THE FULL COST OF ITS ELECTION EQUIPMENT UPDATE PROGRAM
The Clerk explained that the Waukesha County Clerk’s office had a meeting to update all of the municipal clerk’s as to the new election equipment proposal. The county is proposing paying 2/3 of the cost and the municipality would pay 1/3. The municipal clerk’s are all asking the County to pay the full cost of the new equipment.
H. Dessart made a motion to approve Resolution #03-15. R. Hawk seconded. Carried.
INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT BETWEEN WAUKESHA COUNTY AND PARTICIPATING MUNICIPALITIES WITHIN WAUKESHA COUNTY TO PURCHASE NEW ELECTION EQUIPMENT AND SOFTWARE
The Board will discuss this at a later date after update of the Resolutions being sent to County.
HERR DEVELOPMENT DEED RESTRICTIONS
Pres Nissen updated the Board to the status of the Deed Restrictions. Mr. Herr would like to meet the Village President and Village Engineer on the site.
VILLAGE OF DOUSMAN LIGHTING
Pres. Nissen made a motion to move forward up to $2,500 for lighting by the Village of Dousman sign on Hwy 18. R. Hawk seconded. Carried
POSSIBLE IDEAS FOR PROPERTY OWNED BY THE VILLAGE OF DOUSMAN FORMERLY 207 N. MAIN STREET
Gravel and put up sign for parking to see what happens.

DOWNTOWN RIBBON CUTTING EVENT; 6/20/15
The date of the event changed to 6/27/15. C. Queen went over some of the prices that she had received in regards to the event in regards to the bathrooms, games, rock wall, bouncy house and the amount for postcards to send out and mailing costs. She said that the cost they would need would be approximately $2,700.
H. Dessart made a motion to donate $2,700 to Chamber for the Downtown Ribbon Cutting Event. R. Hawk seconded. Carried.
APPOINTING EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT DIRECTOR
Pres. Nissen made a motion to appoint Deputy Chief Tim Meyer as the new Emergency Management Director due to Bob Leonard’s retirement. R. Hawk seconded. Carried.
APPOINTMENT OF CLERK/TREASURER
R. Hawk made a motion to appoint Penny Nissen Clerk/Treasurer for another 2-year term.
H. Dessart seconded. Carried. Pres. Nissen abstained.
APPOINTMENT OF DEPUTY CLERK/TREASURER FOR ANOTHER TERM
Pres. Nissen made a motion to appoint Sharyl Hall Deputy Clerk/Treasurer for another 2-year term. C. Queen seconded. Carried
APPOINTMENT OF ASSESSOR, POLICE & FIRE COMMISSION, ROADS & STREET COMMISSION, PARK COMMISSION, CABLE TV COMMISSION & UTILITY COMMISSION
Pres. Nissen made a motion to appoint Judd Schultz as the Village’s Assessor for another term. H. Dessart seconded. Carried.
Pres. Nissen made a motion that the standing commissions remain as they were. C. Queen seconded. Carried.
