The Brazilian Confederation of Sports for the Visually Impaired hereby invites your national team to the “2018 IBSA Goalball American Youth Championships” to be held in Sao Paulo, Brazil,from August 20thto 26th, 2018.

Important Information: The balls that will be used during the championships will be the Canadian ball (Target).

PARTICIPANTS
IBSA member Federations in good standing from the American Continent
Maximum: 8 (eight) Men’s Teams and 6 (six) Women’s Teams
If the number of teams registered exceeds the above limit, the LOC will analyze the possibility of additional registrations.
AGE: Minimum of 13 years old and no older than 19 years old as of December 31, 2018.
Deadlines
1st entry form (competitors Numerical Inscription) – April 15th, 2018.
Maximum of 6 athletes and 3 staffs.
2nd entry form (Final nominal entry) – May 15th, 2018.
3rd entry form (Travel Schedule) – August 1st, 2018.
Deadline for Payment: June 15th, 2018.

Costs per Person:
500US dollars per person(the invoice will be sent after the 2nd entry form confirmation)
The cost includes lunch from 20th August to lunch on August 26th.
15 US dollars CAPITATION FEE should be also paid for each athlete to the LOC.
Visa Application:
The visa application, if necessary, will be responsibility of each delegation.
IBSA regulations for participation in theIBSA 2018Goalball American Championships
- Participating countries must be an IBSA member in good standing.
- All participating athletes must be registered and licensed in the IBSA ISAS database for thecurrent year.
3.For participating athletes without a confirmed (‘C’) classification or a review status without a date or a date in the current year, the Medical Diagnostic formmust be uploaded six weeks
Failure to do this could mean that your athletes will not be classified and unable to participate.
- This year IBSA had to change their Eligibility Agreement Form according to EU law changes and every athlete now must have a new Eligibility form signed and stamped (if they have an official stamp) by the IBSA Member and the athlete and uploaded to the database otherwise they cannot be licensed.
