The Philippine Association of Local Government Accountants (PhALGA), Inc., a national organization composed of Provincial, City and Municipal Accountants all over the country, will hold its 9thLuzon Geographical Conference on March 18-20, 2015 atthe Vigan Convention Center, Rivero St., Barangay IX, Vigan City, Ilocos Sur with the theme: “Credibility, Transparency and Efficiency in Public Financial Management Towards Good Local Governance.”

We have invited Governor Ryan Luis Singson (son of legendary ‘Chavit’ Singson) as our Keynote Speaker. We have also invitedvery competent resource speakers from the Department of Interior and Local Government, Commission on Audit, Office of the Ombudsman, Department of Health, and LGU Dignitaries to talk on important topics, such as: (a) Latest Updates on Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management; (b) COA Documentary Requirements on Financial Transactions; (c) Gender and Development; (d) Recently-decided Ombudsman Cases; (e) Health and Wellness; and (f) Best Practices of Vigan City and the Province of Ilocos Sur.
