RESOLUTION NO. 62

of the Senate of the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń

of 15thApril 2014

amending the Resolution No.77 of the Senate of the NicolausCopernicus University in Toruń

of 21stMay 2013 on conditions and procedures of recruitment

for the first year of the studies in the Academic Year 2014/2015

On the basis of Art. 169 clause 2 the Act of 27thJuly 2005 on the Law of Higher Education in Poland (consolidated text Journal of Laws of 2012, item 572, as amended)

it is resolved as follows:

§ 1

In the Resolution no. 77 of the Senate of the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń of 21stMay 2013 on conditions and procedures of recruitment for the first year of the studies in the Academic Year 2014/2015 the following changes are introduced:

1. In the annex to the Resolution, in the part referring to the Faculty of Chemistry:

1) the provision concerning the duration of the studies at the field of Chemistry and Food Processing Technology, full-time first-degree engineer studies shall now read as follows: "duration of the studies: 3.5 years";

2) Principles of qualification for the field of Cosmetic Chemistry and Food Chemistry- part-time first-degree studies shall now read as follows: "The Candidates are admitted after submitting the required documents";

3) In the annex to the Resolution referring to the Faculty of Health Science:

the following majors (fields of study) are introduced:

PHYSIOTHERAPY - full-time studies in English;

Unit organizing the studies - Faculty of Health Science;

Ludwik Rydygier Collegium Medicum in Bydgoszcz

Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń

Level of studies - first-degree studies

Form of studies - full-time

Profile - general academic

Duration - 3 years

Preliminary requirements

For admission to the studies may apply the following candidates:

1. Persons holding the Upper Secondary School-Leaving Examination Certificate or equal, giving the right to apply to the studies at all types of universities according to the rules within this matter binding in the country of origin of the candidate;

2. Persons having on their Upper Secondary School Leaving Certificate the grades of one out of the three following subjects: biology, chemistry or physics.

Principles of qualification

The candidates are qualified on the basis of a selection interview in English. The interview in English is to assess the Candidates' motivation to study physiotherapy, their experience at work for organizations of aid, their interpersonal skills and communication abilities.

The selection interview is graded according to the scale 0-100 points.

The admission prerequisite is obtainment of minimum 60 points at the entrance examination.

NURSING - full-time studies in English;

Unit organizing the studies - Faculty of Health Science;

§ 2

The Resolution becomes effective on 15thApril 2014.
