1) The reason for establishment of BCP
In 2008, the orthodox Catholic Synod of the UGCC was established, comprised of eight bishops (one deceased). The reason for its establishment was the fact that ex-Cardinal L. Husar publicly proclaims heresies denying the essence of the Catholic faith and Christianity. The orthodox Bishops’ Synod is in opposition to the apostatical structure. This structure leads the clergy and faithful through apostasy to eternal damnation. Because this heretical structure was reluctant to dissociate itself from the heresies of L. Husar even after several appeals, the orthodox Synod of Bishops promulgated God’s anathema, i.e. excommunication from the Church, against apostate bishops of the UGCC. These prelates now occupy their posts unlawfully. By gross defamation and mendacious pastoral letters they seek to destroy the orthodox bishops and orthodox Catholics. Therefore it was necessary to separate from the UGCC and establish a new Church for orthodox believers under the name of Ukrainian orthodox Greek-Catholic Church (UOGCC). It happened on 11 August 2009. The notice about and grounds for establishment of the new Church were given to Pope Benedict XVI.
All through its existence the orthodox Bishops’ Synod has urged the Holy Father to carry out a true reform of the Catholic Church. This Synod of orthodox Catholic bishops, moreover, unceasingly agitates not only the state authorities of Ukraine but the government officials all over Europe against the introduction of an antidecalogue in legislation (homosexuality, juvenile justice, so-called gender ideology, antipedagogy, euthanasia...). This Synod has also restored the anathema of God against all Christians who are members of the half-secret Masonic organization.
The orthodox Synod appealed to bishops of the Catholic Church to confess the faith and renounce unity with the contemporary heresies. The orthodox Synod was forced to promulgate an anathema on 4872 apostate bishops who remained in unity with heresies. It concerns primarily heresies denying the Divinity of Christ and the inspiration of Scripture (historical-critical theology) and the heresy of so-called reverence for pagan demons (Assisi 1986).
The bishops who have fallen away from the faith now consecrate bishops and priests invalidly. The need for restoration of the Catholic Church and of whole Christianity required establishment of the Byzantine Catholic Patriarchate. The Patriarchate is built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets. It dissociates itself from all heresies and preaches the orthodox doctrine as it was preached by the apostles and church fathers.

This authority categorically dissociates itself from all heresies and professes the saving faith which ensures a safe way to salvation for all who are subordinate to the spiritual authority of the Patriarchate.
