The Tournament will take place at the Kitchener Memorial Auditorium Complex, with our first game taking place on Thursday August 12th at 5:00pm

The best 2011 OHL draft eligible Under 16 players in Ontario will compete in the 6-team tournament with representation from each of the following organizations: ALLIANCE Hockey, GTHL, HNO, NOHA, ODHA and OMHA. The tournament is being held to identify potential players for Team Ontario who will represent the Province and compete for a gold medal at the 2011 Canada Winter Games being held in Halifax, Nova Scotia in February 2011.

Team ODHA started the process of putting this team of very talented young men together in April 2010 at Carleton University where 42 players were invited to attend the first ever ODHA U16 camp. This group was then paired down to 30 players who participated in a summer orientation camp in June at the Ray Friel Recreation Complex where the players competed in three (3) very high tempo, competitive scrimmages. It was the task of our Coaching Staff to select 20 players to play for Team ODHA. Our dedicated coaches are:

Head Coach – Gregg Kennedy – Ottawa Junior Senators AAA

Associate Coach – Mike Miller – Ottawa Junior 67’s AAA

Associate Coach – Joe Rathwell – Upper Canada Cyclones AAA

Associate Coach – Lloyd Switzer – Ottawa Valley Titans AAA

We have also assembled a great training staff:

Head Trainer – Dan McDowell – Nepean Raiders Jr. A

Associate Trainer – Steve Pellerin – Eastern Ontario Wild AAA

Staff Assistant – Tyler Baker – Cumberland Jr. Grads AA
