Rector’s Reports
Women’s Rectora – Penny stated that all plans are made and things are going well. One angel dropped and one potential candidate dropped putting us back at 18 candidates for the women’s weekends.
Men’s Rector – George stated that he has 31 team members, 5 angels, 14 candidates with 2 more possible before deadline of the next day. He stated that Pastor Jim’s rollo, “Life in Grace” was outstanding but that it would be practiced the next day.
Financial Report
Sheila stated that out of the 50 women’s team members, 32 had paid the team fees and 18 of the 31 men’s team members had paid their team fees. Distributions had been made to the Head Cooks and the facility (Wesley UMC) totally roughly $5,000 for both sets of weekends.
Facility Report
Bill Baaden reported that the Salvation Army in Santa Ana is still a possible facility for future weekends (perhaps Spring 2015). Red Hill Lutheran is confirmed for the August weekends.
Ken Hays purchased and restocked envelopes and Bolognas for upcoming weekends.
Bill & Eddie reminded us that a work party to take all the OCTD weekend totes out to Riverside would happen the following Saturday, March 15that 8am and that all community is invited to meet and assist in Irvine or to unload at 10am in Riverside at Wesley. After the weekends,April 5that 10am has been designated as a work party morning to bring back all of the supplies and totes.
President’s Report
Eddie called for a motion to approve February’s meeting notes as distributed to the community via email. George so moved and Rob seconded the motion.
Eddie opened a discussion about holding “Information Events” or Sequelas to invite believers who have not attended a Tres Dias weekend so that information could be given to them supporting potential sponsors in their endeavors. Terri is holding a women’s breakfast event in her home the following Saturday (of the Men’s weekend) to pray for the men candidates while weekend is in process. She invited Tres Dias women to bring a Christian woman friend for information about Tres Dias and to actively participate in the prayer for the weekends. She also invited women from her church. Brandy discussed the possibility of putting together a brochure/invite to use to leave at Tres Dias members churches to promote an “Information Night” or event.
Eddie informed us that we have members who said, “Yes” to serving as Rector/Rectora for the August Weekends. For OCTD #29, the Men’s Rector will be Ken Johnson. For OCTD #30, the Women’s Rectora will be Sandy Limacher.
Eddie stated that the pre-weekend committee for review of team and candidate applications comprises: Pastor Rob, Nancy Romero, Jill Travis, and Bill Baley.
Bill Baley reminded us to add “Emergency Contact” and a line for the information on our new Candidate Application.
Eddie said that Rob McClure has volunteered to help us gather the data and assemble it for the Standard Operating Procedure Manual for future Secretariat.
Ended in prayer for each individual candidate by name
