Suggested Vocabulary: / Suggested Assessment Tasks:
  • Philosophical chairs: “The Reformers: Hero or Zero” Read about the following people Martin Luther, John Calvin, Henry VIII, Elizabeth I and have groups or students make posters on each. Students will then choose a side (hero or zero) as each person discussed and present facts that back up their argument.
  • All about me culture poster….student created poster with photographs depicting their cultural or multicultural background. Idea for integration: I Am Poem in Language Arts.
  • GPS Scavenger Hunt- check out the hand held GPS units from the county office and create a GPS scavenger hunt activity.
  • Foldable activity on religions of the world, economic systems, or types of governments.
  • Integration- work with band, music, and art teachers to incorporate aspects of the Renaissance in their content area.
