Comments
Don Bergeron stated he had emailed his comments to John Ruegg
Sylvia Webb stated that this had originally been closely tied to UBL. Significant changes are being made to UBL. A needed action item is to decide if this document continues to have close ties to UBL, and if so do any changes need to be made.
Sylvia Webb also stated that she had agreed to prepare rules for versioning the document. She will send those to John Ruegg today.
Sylvia Webb endorsed the completion of Appendix D so there would be practical examples to show the intent of the document. She also stated it was important to stress the need to document the core components before creating the schema.
Catherine Plummer asked if there is a link to the IEPD Clearinghouse on the OJP site. Marcus Leon will follow up.
Catherine Plummer stressed that IEPDs need to utilize open source resources so that everyone can access them.
Sylvia Webb recommended a graphic be included showing which schema modules are mandatory and which are optional. It was agreed that the Document and Subset Schemas are mandatory and that the Constraint and Extension Schemas are optional.
Sylvia Webb noted there are still some blanks and question marks in the document which must be addressed.
Marcus Leon will share the comments with John Ruegg and a final document will be completed to share with the committee.
There being no further business, the Meeting adjourned at 10:36 a.m.
