Grading Policy:

1. Grades will be calculated on a typical straight scale. The following is a breakdown of the categories for the semester:Tests,Quizzes, Classwork, Homework, Notebook, Labs and a Cumulative Final

encourage you to come in during 7th period.

7th Period Support:

7th period is a time for students to receive help on homework/material covered in class and to make-up tests, quizzes, and labs. If time allows there may be quiz and test reviews. These reviews may be occurring at lunch as well as 7th period. In general there will be open help available every day. If you are absent on the day of a test/quiz, you will need to make it up during 7th periodwithin one week of your return on either a Thursday or a Friday. If the test/quiz is not made up by this time, you will receivea zero.If you are absent on the day of a lab, you will need to make it up during 7th periodwithin one week of your return on either a Tuesday or Wednesday. If the lab is not made up by this time, you will receivea zero.

Testing Policy:

2. All missed quizzes MUST be completed before the date of the unit exam or a score of zero

will be assigned.

3. Tests will cover material in lecture, readings, labs, homework, and classwork. Tests may vary

in points and format (multiple choice, true/false, matching, fill-in, short answer, or essay).

4. Test dates will be posted at least one week in advance. Most likely they will be on your Unit Calendars so you will have much advanced notice for planning

5. If you are absent on the day of a test/quiz, you will need to make it up during 7th period

within one week of your return on either a Thursday or a Friday. If the test/quiz is not made up by this time, you will receivea zero.

Homework Policy:

1. Homework will aim to reinforce learned concepts or preview upcoming material.

2. Homework will not be given for homework sake. When homework is assigned, IT IS

IMPORTANT!
