Job Title / Admin Assistant/Fundraising Officer
Salary / NJC Grade 4 Points 14 – 16
Hours: Initially 2 daysper week TTO plus INSET Days.
Hours will be8.30am to 3.30pmhowever, flexibility is essential to work days/times as required including occasional evenings.
Flexibility to increase number of days essential as the federation moves forward.
Purpose of the Job / To provide a high standard of administrative support across the Federation.
To act in a professional manner at all times.
  • The post holder will provide support to the Chair of Governors, Headteachers and Business Managers in a range of duties. He/she will support events as and when required.
  • To be flexible to work in any of the federated schools; will be based at Oak Grove College.
  • Attend relevant training courses as required
Admin Assistant:
Key tasks /
  • To provide support in a wide range of administrative duties for the federation
  • Ensure all information received is disseminated efficiently and accurately to relevant members of Governing Body, Local Authority and staff via email, phone or in person ensuring confidentiality at all times.
  • To produce a wide range of admin documents to include letters, policies, photocopying, Health and Safety and reports as required
  • To work with and providecover for the Clerk to Governors. Attend meetings to take minutes in the absence of the Clerk.
  • To be responsible for arranging meetings, setting up rooms and organising refreshments. Keep diary up-to date
  • Take minutes as required
  • Monitor and update websites
  • Provide admin support for cross school projects
  • To arrange training for the Governors
  • To be a point of contact for enquiries and information as required.
  • To maintain filing of confidential records
Fundraising Officer:
  • To research and prepare funding opportunities including grants, trusts and donors and prepare the required submissions
  • To prepare fundraising marketing materials to promote the federation
  • To maintain accurate records including accounts and lists of donors
  • To maintain relationships and maximise all opportunities with current supporters
  • To develop and organise a range of fundraising opportunities and events distributed throughout the yeare.g Annual Sunday fun run held in March
  • To attend meetings with potential donors as appropriate and to deliver presentations and proposals to a high standard to secure funding
  • To report on work undertaken and income secured.
To be aware of and act according to policies and procedures relating to child protection, pupil behaviour, health, safety and security, confidentiality and data protection and report all concerns to the appropriate member of staff.
To undertake any duties which may be reasonably allocated appropriate to the role to ensure the smooth running of the federation.
Accountable directly to the Federation strategic group through the Business Manager.
