Manifestation of the Sons of God - 1
Sons of God Are Spirit Led
Romans 8.14
Sons – kinship
ñ a male offspring
ñ a descendant, posterity (successive generations, remnant)
ñ one who is the object of parental love and care
ñ one who is connected with, partaking of or exposed to a person, thing or place (eg sons of light, sons of kingdom, sons of the prophets, sons of Zion)
ñ specifically used in term 'Son of God' -
ñ Jesus – Son of God
ñ those who God loves and cherishes as a father, saints – son of God.
No gender in God – daughters are also classed as sons
Led – to lead, drive, bear, bring, carry, remove and induce
2 Corinthians 6. 17-18
Come out from among them and be separate - The Holy Spirit leads us out, removes us from the world to live holy and wholly before God. God declares that we will be His sons.
If we allow the Holy Spirit to lead us out of darkness we will be the sons of God
The ministry of the Holy Spirit is to lead us..
John 16.13 – the Holy Spirit will lead us and guide us into the truth, the way of truth
John 14.26 – the Holy Spirit will teach us all things – how to live
Examples:
ñ Mark 1.12 – the Holy Spirit drove (led) Him into the wilderness
ñ Luke 4.1 – Jesus filled with Holy Spirit was led into the wilderness
ñ Luke 2.25-27 – The Holy Spirit led Simeon to the Temple to see Jesus
ñ Acts 10.19-20 – The Holy Spirit led Peter to follow the men from Cornelius house
ñ Acts 13.2 – The Holy Spirit led the church to release Paul and Barnabas into the work of ministry
ñ Acts 16.6 – The Holy Spirit forbade Paul to go to Asia but rather led him to Macedonia
ñ Romans 8.26 – the Holy Spirit helps in our weaknesses.
Romans 8.12-13
The phrase 'as many as are led by the Spirit of God' describes the lifestyle of those who are the 'sons of God'.
In these verses Paul is giving encouragement not to live according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit by putting to death the deeds of the flesh.

Colossians 3.5-10
Hebrews 12.7-11 – God chastens His sons, The Spirit leads us to put off the old man and its' fleshly nature
How does the Holy Spirit lead us?
ñ The Word of God – whether read or preached
ñ Inner witness (Romans 8.16; Romans 9.1; Hebrews 10.15; Acts 15.28)
ñ Confirmation of counsellors (Proverbs 11.14)
The more fully people are led by the Holy Spirit, the more completely they will be obedient to God and be conformed to His holy standards.
Babies are taken and carried everywhere – Sons follow the leading of the Spirit and trust their spiritual instincts.
