I.Summary

This section should include information for those readers who will not read the entire document but who willneed a summary of the proposal. Although this section appears first in the document, it is usually written last.

The summary should remain on a separate page and not exceed one page.

The summary should contain the following elements:

  • Brief identification and purpose of your organization (if applicable).
  • Tool Development- include: the type, accessibility, sharing, distribution, and quality of the tool(s) being developed and the extent to which it would assist in the transfer of NCN language and culture.
  • State number of beneficiariesthat the project will benefit upon completion.(Direct beneficiaries receive something directly from a program such as goods, services, training, and access to resources. Whereas indirect beneficiaries benefit from the outcomes/results of the program). What did they receive ( for e.g. training, loans, etc.) Please expand the table below as needed.

III.Purpose and Significance

(Explain the reasons for developing the project the way you have? What are the expected results?)

IV.Goals/Objectives

State the desired goals and objectives to address the needs/problems stated above. Use SMART (S.M.A.R.T-specific, measurable, achievable, realistic and time-related)

V.Procedures

Provide detailed information about proposed procedures, if available, and the scope of work. Include information on activities such as recruiting, training, testing, and actual work required:

- describe how the material will be developed and by whom;
- emphasize any special facilities or equipment available;
- describe to whom the final product will be distributed (how many beneficiaries?), how many free copies each recipient will receive, and how they will be delivered. (You will be required to submit two copies to NEDC for their file and PWRDF’s file)

List the key personnel who will be responsible for completion of the project, as well as other personnel involved in the project. (Emphasize the competencies of personnel who will be assigned to the project and outline the key contacts with their contact information).
