For this task you must describe the nutritional requirements for three people who have differing nutritional requirements relating to human lifespan stages, specific health determinants or disability status.

The people you choose should be clients that you currently support in your work role.You must ensure that your answer:

  • is based on the Ministry of Health’s Food and Nutrition Guidelines.
  • follows the provisions of the person’s personal plan.

Task 2: Describe a person’s feeding issues

For this task you must describe the feeding issues for three people you support, relating to human lifespan stages, specific health determinants or disability status. You need to do this for the three people in terms of:

  • their presenting symptoms.
  • approaches and techniques you use to promote safe feeding and minimise risk to the person. You must include assistive devices in your response.

The people you choose should be clients that you currently support in your work role. Make sure your responses are in accordance with the person’s personal plan and your workplace’s policies and procedures.
