Key databases for nursing and midwifery include:

CINAHL:access to nursing, midwifery and allied health research

Cochrane Library:access to systematic reviews and evaluations of research

Medline:access to clinical medicine research

British Nursing Index:access to nursing midwifery and community care research

4.Introductory talks

New readers, staff or student groups are invited to arrange visits with the Subject Team for library orientation.

5.Short Loan Collection

Because the books on student reading lists are always in great demand, multiple copies of these titles have been placed in the Short Loan Collection (SLC) held at the Lending Desk. This ensures that popular texts circulate quickly among readers so that as many students as possible can have access to them. See the SLC leaflet for information on how to borrow and reserve books from this collection.

6.Still stuck?

Contact one of the library staff. They could advise or may be able to suggest other places to contact or visit.
