Numeracy and Literacy Homework

Numeracy and Literacy Homework

Spellings and Times Tables
Just a reminder that spellings and time tables are given out on Monday in preparation for the test on Friday. Times tables are located at the back of the spelling folder. Children are currently being tested on their 2 times tables and they are doing extremely well. Soon the children will be practising their 5 times tables and the test will be a combination of both 2s and 5s. It is important that the children are able to recall their times tables in any order so be mindful of this when practising them at home.

Numeracy and Literacy Homework

Thank you for your continued support with regards to homework in Year Two. We understand that children have many extra-curricular activities and we appreciate you finding the time to sit down and provide them with that crucial one to one support with their homework. Children should be becoming more independent with their numeracy homework and may only support on a few of the questions. Literacy may require more one to one support as some of the wording of the questions may be difficult. Remember that the homework is a collection of the skills the children will learn throughout the entire year so if your child is struggling with a particular question it may be that we have not yet covered it our units of work.

PE Kits
Children are to keep their PE kit in school from Monday to Friday in a drawstring bag. Please label every item and check if pumps fit each half term. Thank you.
