November 28, 2017 BERGEN TOWN BOARD REGULAR 2nd MEETING

The Bergen Town Board convened in a regular session at 7:00 p.m. in the Town Hall with Supervisor Cunningham presiding.

PRAYER

PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE TO THE FLAG

Tim Donovanis requesting a stop work order on the building permit for the property on Rt. 19 and let it go to the Planning Board due to residential zoning forwhat he considers a commercial building; the Zoning Officer contacted DEC and is not zoned wetlands. The board recommended Mr. Donovan to contact DEC and the Zoning Officer with his concerns.

MINUTES: Councilwoman Grant made a motion to approve the November 14, 2017 minutes; seconded by Councilman Anderson and it carried by a vote 4-0.

REPORTS:

HIGHWAY/SOLID WASTE: received the snow and ice/mowing contract from the County. Councilman Haywood made a motionto authorize Highway Superintendent to sign the 2018 Snow and Ice/Mowing Contract; seconded by Councilman Anderson and it carried by a vote 4-0.Bollards were installed at 13 S. Lake to protect the HVAC;placement of Barry Millers memorial bench at 13 S. Lake Ave.

COMMITEES:

BUILDINGS: Nothing to report

PARKS: proposed Kiosk design for Drews Nature Center from GVEP project; meeting with Paul Chatfield at 1:00 pm on December 8th.

HISTORIAN: Nothing to report

POLICY AND PERSONNEL: Nothing to report

NEW BUSINESS:

Vacant Buildings Registry sample form the Town of Leroy; tabled for further review

Village Tree Decorating Councilman Haywood made a motion to decorate a Village Christmas tree not to exceed $30 seconded by Councilman Anderson and it carried by a vote 4-0.

Holiday Party Councilwoman Grant made a motion not to exceed $500 for the Town Holiday party planned for December 8th at noon at the Fire Dept. Recreation Hall out of the Celebrations account; seconded by Councilman Haywood and it carried by a vote 4-0.

Year End MeetingCouncilman Andersonmade a motion to schedule the Year End Meeting for December 29, 2017at6:00 pm and seconded by Councilwoman Grant and carried by a vote 4-0.

Reorganization Meeting Councilman Haywood made a motion to schedulethe Reorganization meeting for January 2, 2018 at 6:00 pm in the Courtroom; seconded by CouncilwomanGrantand it carried by a vote4-0

NEXT MEETING:
