The meeting was convened with prayer by Fred Langston at 5:30 p.m. in the Room 320 of the Edington Ministry Center. A quorum was present.

Prior to the stated business meeting, seven elders- and deacons-elect shared their personal faith stories.

After dinner the Session reconvened for its business meeting in the Sterchi Conference Room at 6:25 pm.

Personnel - Greg McNeill reported that the senior pastor annual review form will be distributed to elders; he wants to get back any response by mid-December.

Pastoral staff annual housing allowances for 2015 are as follows:

Generosity - Steve Cahill reported on the status of Arise and Build pledges. As of this date, we have received approximately $6,500,000 in pledges and already have $852,000 in hand. Approximately 575 giving units have pledged to date. $7,700,000 continues to be the goal for the overall campaign.

Support - John Hillenmeyer reported that at this point in the fiscal year we are in a good position for both income and expenses.

M/P (unanimous) To allocate $655,529 from the receipts on hand from the Arise and Build campaign to pay off the loan for our PC(USA) dismissal payment. In addition, 10% of the receipts on hand shall be disbursed by FaithServes.

The Support Committee will meet to discuss a framework for disbursing future Arise and Build funds and with communicate to the other ministry teams and committee chairs to understand how to refer funding requests.

Children’s Ministry - Sarah Savage and Carrie Williamson outlined the 2015 confirmation class schedule and asked for elders to consider acting as a sponsor for one or more of the confirmands.

M/S/P Approval to allow serving communion by intinction at the conclusion of the Mourner’s Path group worship on November 19, 2014.

Young Adults and Families - Bill Fluke discussed the need for preliminary design work for the Student Ministry Renovation, that is part of the Arise and Build program.

M/S/P That the Support Committee review the Young Adults and Families request to allocate $10,000 for the Student Ministry Renovation for preliminary design work.

With no further business, the meeting was closed with prayer by Case Thorp at 7:30 p.m.
