RISK ASSESSMENT

The site of University Athletics track is enclosed and well off road. Public access is restricted. The site officer will be attending. All activities to be led by sports leaders from secondary schools and pupils from the primary schools will go to each activity in turn in pre specified groups. All groups will be accompanied by members of staff with prime responsibility for children from their school.

  • All attending should have suitable clothing and refreshments for the day

  • All groups are in different colours and should therefore be easily recognisable
  • Qualified members of staff will be all around the site

  • In the first instance all illnesses and injuries will be treated by the appropriate member of staff
  • More serious injuries or illnesses will be directed to the trained first aider present.

  • Obtain information from parents
  • Make necessary arrangements for individual pupils including individual risk assessment and additional staffing as necessary
