NOTORIOUS THIEF WHO USED TO COMMIT LAPTOP AND MOBILE THEFTS UNDER THE DISGUISE OF COURIER BOY, ARRESTED :
4 LAPTOPS AND 25 MOBILE PHONES RECOVERED
South District Police has arrested a notorious thief who used to commit thefts under the disguise of Courier Boy and recovered 4 stolen laptops and 25 mobile phones from him. His prime targets were the students residing in paying guest houses which are in plenty numbers in the areas like Gautam Nagar, Kotla Mubarak Pur etc.
ACCUSED ARRESTED:
Bhupender @ Bhalle age 30 years s/o Mohan Singh r/o House No. 9, Gali No.18, Air Force Road, Faridabad, Haryana.
INCIDENT, TEAM & ARREST:
In order to prevent incidents of laptop/mobile thefts reported in various parts of Delhi and NCR and to apprehend criminals involved in such incidents, several teams were formed in South District. In some of the cases the complainants were even presentin their houses when theft took place. A team comprising of SI Sunil Kumar, HCs Bijender, Naresh, Narender, Constables Jagdish and Satish under the supervision of Inspr. Ajay Vedwal, SHO/K.M.Pur and Sh. Vinod Kumar Sharma, ACP/Defence Colony was also constituted to identify and apprehend the criminals involved in such incidents.
The team so formed worked relentlessly and kept surveillance over the activities of suspected persons. Besides, sources were also deployed in the area. The concerted efforts put in by the police team yielded results and accused Bhupender @ Balle was arrested on 10.03.2011 from the area of Kotla Mubarak Pur area. At his instance, 4 laptops and 25 mobile phones have been recovered.
INTERROGATION & PROFILE:
During interrogation, it was revealed that accused Bhupender @ Balle has previously been arrested twice by police of K.M. Pur for his
involvement in theft cases and he remained in Tihar Jail for a period of 6-7 months.
Accused Bhpender @ Balle is a school dropout. He is married and having one daughter. He had been working as a Courier Delivery Boy since long. By virtue of nature of his job he used to visit door-to-doorand thus has a camouflageto enter any house. He would often find laptops and mobile phones lying on the tables in most of the houses or unattended shops. Finding the opportune momentswhich was quite often in his case, he would take away the valuables.In some of the cases, the occupant of the house was even present in the house but not in the room where his laptop or other valuables were lying and carelessly door remained opened, the accused fled away with the goods.In such cases, he used to report “House Closed” on the envelope of courier and returnit.His prime targets were the students residing in paying guest houses which are in plenty numbers in the areas like Gautam Nagar, Kotla Mubarak Pur etc.
The reason behind selecting such targets was that the students or the working men/women used to receive maximum correspondence through courier and these houses are open in daytime being frequently visited by the inmates.Under the garbof delivery, the accused would get facility to roam inside the Paying Guest Housesfrom one room to another.The accused used to supply in bulk the stolen goods in grey marketsoutside Delhi. However, this time his luck did not favour himand he was arrested before he could have disposed off the stolen goods. Several cases of similar nature have been worked out.
RECOVERY:
- Four Laptops of latest models including Lenovo, HCL etc.
- 25 stolen mobile phones.
Further investigation is in progress and efforts are being made to ascertain his other involvements and to effect more recoveries.

AUTO LIFTERS ARRESTED 4 CARS & 2 MOTOR CYCLES RECOVERED
With arrest of Jitender S/o Beersen R/o Vill- Sujati P.S. Doghat Dist- Bagpat U.P. Age- 26 years and Saruray @ Sarver S/o Hasarat Ali R/o Village- Nahali P.S. Bhaujpur, Tehshil- Modi Nagar Dist- Ghaziabad U.P. Age 25 years, Anti auto theft Squad, South East Distt. Solved and recovered 4 Maruti Wagon –R Cars and 2 Motor Cycles.
TEAM AND INVESTIGATION
In order to prevent the increased incidents of Auto theft in South East Distt and NCR, two teams of AATS/SED were constituted . 1st team was headed by SI Ajay Kumar No. D-3962 consisting of HC Kailash Chand 270/SE, Ct Deep Chand 3246/SE and Ct Vipin Tyagi No. 702/SE and 2nd team was headed by SI Antesham Abbas No. 4815/D consisting of Ct Ghanshyam No. 1299/SE and Ct Kuldeep No. 1213/SE under the supervision of inspr. Balkrishan, I/C AATS/SE and Shri Virender Kalia ACP/Ops to develop intelligence regarding such criminals . On 9-3-11 at about 3.45 PM SIAjay Kumar received secret information that one Jitender will come to underfoot flyover bridge, Maharani Bagh, Sunlight Colony with a stolen Motor Cycle. On this team members laid a trap there and at about 5 PM one person wose name and address was lateron known as Jitender S/o Beersen R/o Vill- Sujati, P.S. Doghat, Distt- Bagpat U.P. was apprehended with a Motor Cycle Discover Bajaj No. DL-6S X 2319. On checking motor Cycle was found stolen Vide FIR No. 85/11 U/S 379 IPC P.S. Usman Pur, North East, Delhi. He was interrogated and during interrogation Jitender disclosed that he also purchased three Maruti Wegon-R Cars from Abdul Salem of Vill- Nahali U.P. during interrogation he disclosed that he used these cars in taxies to carry passengers. On the same day at about 6.30 PM i.e. 9-3-11 2nd team of AATS/SED headed by SI Antesham Abbas had also received a secret information that one Saruray Aalam will go to Gaziabad Via Kalundi Kunj in a stolen Car on this by putting barricades near CNG Gas Station, Kalundi Kunj Road vehicle checking was started and at about 8.10 PM a Wegon-R car came to barricade and on the pointing out of informer Wegon-R car was got stopped and checked Driver of the car whose name was lateron known as Saruray @ Server S/o Hasarat Ali R/o Vill- Nahali Gaziabad U.P. could not gave any satisfy answer and on checking the said Maruti Wegon-R car was found stolen Vide FIR No. 136/11 U/S 379 IPC P.S. Indrapuram Gaziabad U.P. One another Motor Cycle was also received on his instance. During interrogation he disclosed that he purchased both the above mentioned vehicles from one Abdul Salam of Nahali U.P. and he used Wegon-R car in taxies for carrying passengers.
INTERROGATION AND MODUS OPERANDI
On sustained interrogation the accused Jiternder disclosed that he passed 6th class and he has no agriculture land So he came to Gaziabad and worked as driver then he came in contact with one abdul Salem of Nehali U.P who gave him Wegon-R cars in the amount of 30/35 thousands . He used these cars in taxies for carrying passengers. On sustained interrogation the accused Saruray @ Sarver disclosed that he purchased both Vehicles from Abdul Salem and he also used Wegon-R car in taxies for carrying passengers.

- Two Wagon-R Cars without Number plates U/S 102 Cr P C
Efforts are being made to trace out the places of theft of remaining two wagon –R cars. Further investigation being carried out to trace the thieves.
