Notes to help completion:
  1. This code to be specified by CI/Data Support. If code is known when you are completing this form at any stage, please complete this field. 1a, 1b1c for Data Support/CI use only.
  2. Refers to approved programme durations and modes of attendance. i.e programmes with specifically approved full time and part time routes. Reference does not need tobe made to programmes approved as full time that may be studied on a part time basis.
  3. Refers to programmes which are taught wholly outside of the UK.
  4. Refers to part time options available for study on a programme. This could be programmes with an approved part time route OR programmes that are full time but can be studied on a part time basis (UG non-AP programmes should not be listed as having a part-time route).
  5. This is the minimum time the student must study at the University to complete the programme. This value would normally be set as per the default duration except in cases such as programmes with optional placement or part time programmes when the value could be less (i.e. for a 4 year programme with optional sandwich year, the compulsory duration is 3 years)
  6. Undergraduate programmes only from 2017 entry.
  7. Course will be listed as published at UCAS and will therefore be available for applications. Courses listed as unpublished will not be available for applications.
  8. List of course subjects for which students (mainly PG) will require an ATAS certificate can be found at
  9. List of JACS codes can be found at
  10. Work Order Subject Area – used to group programmes within Finance as part of Corporate Planner
  11. Courses that lead to a higher education qualification would normally be classified as funded by HEFCE unless the main source of funding was from another public body, such as the TDA or the NHS.
