Anti-Stigma Conference – Additional proposed item / NS / JS and NS ran this conference, with the support of school nurses and CAMHS teams in Parkside Secondary School. Positive feedback received from pupils and staff. Funding available to roll out in additional schools.
Anti-Stigma conference from Oakbank had very good evaluations from pupils and staff
Nicola will be organising a celebration event on 26/03/13 / SP to explore conference at OakbankNS sending info to each BAC re the celebration event
Membership / PG / Representation from primary schools AS still awaiting feedback from primary heads forum
Karen may ask TAMHS worker from South BAC ( Tong/ BVG/ Grange) to attend
We agreed to invite Sue Sykes CAMHS workforce trainer to join the group
We agreed to have strategic group and working parties on specific issues
Working parties will have flexible membership according to specific areas of expertise / AS to liaise with behaviour sub group of Primary Heads Forum re Primary representativePG meeting Sue 01/05/13 re this
Workforce courses on Bradnet
YMCA / AT / AT outlined YMCA support for vulnerable young people within Bradford including Princes Trust programme, Wise Up, Engagement project from PRU and Children in Need worker.
She shared info re holiday activities and asked schools to promote these among students / Schools to publicise
Directorate support and CommunicationsPR for the group / Awaiting date
Mental Health Audit / No central forum with information about support services for CYP with mental health issues, their parents and carers
Youth BUZZ and DIVA Bradford offer centralised information via internet
Agreed it would be helpful to have a web page on Bradford Schools online / PG to investigate setting up website for the group
Universal action
Awareness raising assemblies for KS3 and KS4 / No further action – dates in diary for Carlton Bolling / NS/ PG to deliver assemblies and schedule at BVG
Targeted action / PG / We agreed two priority areas
1.  Self-harm
2.  Vulnerable girls from minority ethnic groups
We explored some central issues around this – the kinds of things which the group should provide guidance on and how to offer supervision and training to front line staff in schools / LS to invite CAMHS team to join next meeting and contribute to working party
