NOTICE of commencement of the review of the
CavanTown & Environs Development Plan (2008-2014)
Notice is hereby given, that: in accordance with the provisions of Section 11 of the Planning and Development Act (2000-2012), as amended, Cavan Town Council will commence the review of the Cavan Town & Environs Development Plan (2008 – 2014) and intends preparing a new Development Plan for the County. In addition, in accordance with SEA Directive2001/42/EC a Strategic Environmental assessment (SEA) will be prepared in conjunction with the plan.
As part of the initial public consultation phase, we have prepared a ‘Strategic Issues Paper’ called – ‘Having your Say’ and a (SEA) Scoping Issues Paper in which we invite comment and input into the plan preparation process. A copy of theStrategic Issues Papers may be inspected from Wednesday, 10th October 2012, for a period of 8 weeks, during normal business hours: 09:15 to 13:00 and 14:00 to 17:00 hrs, at The Planning Department- Farnham Centre,Cavan; the Town Hall Cavan and at the Engineering Area Offices at Ballyconnell, Virginia, Bailieborough and Cavan; andat all the major Libraries in the County(opening times are available on the Council’s website). The first round of Public Meetings/workshops will be held at the following locations:
