About Pharmacist Support

Pharmacist Support is an independent charity for pharmacists and their families, former pharmacists, pharmacy students and trainees. Our free and confidential support includes an information and enquiry service,a wellbeing service, debt, benefits and employment advice, financial assistance for those experiencing hardship, addiction support,a student bursary scheme and careers coaching.

The charity provides a lifeline to those, who, through circumstances often beyond their control – personal illness, disability or other life changing events - requiremuch needed assistance. This support is provided in many formats, on a short or long-term basis and is specifically tailored to the individual’s circumstances.

The job role

The charity has undergone a rapid period of growth. Keen to further enhance its development, the charity is now looking to recruit anInterim Enquiry Service Officer to support its information and enquiry and financial assistance services.

The Interim Enquiry Service Officer will respond to enquiries that come into the charity via a variety of methods (phone, email, LiveChat, Social Media) from those seeking information and/or support. The role will involve providing enquirers with information on Pharmacist Support services, referral onto our specialist advisers as well as the recording of this activity in the charity’s customer relationship database.The post holder will also support the Grants Officer in the assessment of applications for financial assistance.

The charity is seeking an individual with experience of working in an advice/enquiry/welfare role with excellent verbal and written communication skills. The role requires someone with well-developed listening/counselling skills and experience of working with people who may be distressed and /or vulnerable and are often in ‘crisis’ situations.
