  1. Continue our discussion of the Methodist Communications booklet that each of us is reading. What ideas can we use to help our committee? Ideas presented challenge us because of our current budget freeze. One example: do iPhone Video for outreach (see above). Need help in hands-on “tech” work. How do we reach people through social media on a regular basis? Make our website “pop up” on Google searches? Craig to ask Bob for his advise/expertise on search engines. 2Comm to review webpage content. Doug to review on “New To FUMC?”
  1. Craig volunteers to discuss with Blake the example of Pastor Greg’s “State of the Church” flyer.
  1. Doug gave us the costs so we can plan for a future replacement. 2Comm APPROVES spending approx $600 to redo banners for Mont & SP. Table for May mtg when budget issues settled.
  1. Craig brought copies and got advertising info for Kenwood Pressand Oakmont news. Kenwood approx $100/1000 flyers. Need 3000 for Oakmont. We provide flyers. Oakmont News more expensive. Discuss design next mtg. Scott to research what PD might do for possible neighborhood distribution of flyer.
  1. Craig brought Sonoma Family Magazine ad info. Discussed their demographic stats & limitations. How many do they print/month? Avg cost for ¼ page, 3x min = $700 (approx.), includes web exposure. Pre-school has presence on classified ad page.
  1. With the resignation of Andy, and now withRobynn’sLoA, we should be looking for a few others to join our 2016 committee. Does anyone have ideas of who we should approach who has advertising and public relations experience?
