RULES & REGULATIONS
SCHOOL YEAR 2014 – 15
COST:
All students who are members of the club shall pay a $10.00 membership fee due when they sign up. This money is used to defray costs as needed. Checks payable to NORWIN ACTIVITY FUND.
DISCIPLINE:
· Membership in this club is not a right but a privilege. Therefore any student who has had disciplinary action taken against him or her or has been suspended by the school authorities WILL NOT be allowed membership in this club. This will be enforced without exception since our activities are off of school property where discipline problems would have a negative reflection on our school. If ever a club member is suspended, at that time the student’s ski club membership is automatically terminated.
· All school rules apply to the students when on the bus, in the ski resort, at public facilities or when on the slopes.
· Misconduct will not be tolerated at meetings, on the bus, at public facilities or when on the slopes.
· Any person coming to a meeting or going skiing under the influence or having in their possession any amount of alcohol or drugs will be referred to the proper school and civil authorities. Without exception, this student will automatically be expelled from the club.
· Students who participate on a ski trip must be at school ON TIME the day of a trip or they will forfeit that trip.
· Students who participate on a ski trip are expected to be at school ON TIME the day after the trip. Failure to do so will result in a suspension from the next scheduled ski trip.
· Students that have been banned from school activities for disciplinary actions due to attendance and/or tardies will not be able to attend ski club events.
PARENTS PERMISSION:
Each participating member must turn in behavior agreement, proof of insurance and medical form BEFORE he or she can go on their first ski trip. Additional permission slips are needed for each trip.
TRIP PAYMENT:
All trips must be paid in full ON TIME by check payable to NORWIN ACTIVITY FUND or student will not be allowed to attend.
REFUNDS:
No refunds will be given after the last day money is due. If something comes up prior to the day of the trip, arrangements can be made to transfer the money to the next trip. If a trip is cancelled all money will be transferred to next trip. If last trip is cancelled, money will be refunded (seniors) or transferred to the next school year (underclassmen).
FUNDRAISERS:
All money earned by a student from a fundraiser goes into that individual students’ account and can be used for any activity that the club participates in. At the end of the year any money left over in that students’ account will be held for the next year unless that student is a graduating senior. In that event any leftover funds will be transferred to the club account. At no time can money raised in a fundraiser be given directly to a student or parent.
BUSES:
All students who are members of our club must ride the designated buses for ALL trips.
All ski club members must report on time to the buses departing from the school and especially when departing from the ski resort. Any student who is not at the school and on the bus by 3 PM will forfeit their spot on the bus. A roll call will be taken before departing from the school and the ski resort. When arriving back to the school, it is up to the student to have arranged to be PICKED UP ON TIME.
