FY 2014 SURFACE TRANSPORTATION PROGRAM – ATTRIBUTABLE (STP-A)
SECOND CALL FOR PROJECTS

The Northwest Arkansas Regional Planning Commission (NWARPC),serving as the NWA Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO), announces the availability of approximately $2,800,000 in NWARPC Surface Transportation Program – Attributable (STP-A) funding. Availability of FY2014 and subsequent years funds are subject to Congressional action. NWARPCis issuing a SECOND CALLFOR PROJECTSto be submitted for consideration for NWARPC FY2014 STP-A fundingfor design and construction projects that are consistent with the 2035 NWA Regional Transportation Plan and addressimprovements to major routes that improve access, reduce crash rates, and/or relieve traffic congestion,as well as other eligible projects that increase capacity.

The SECOND CALL FY 2014 STP-A APPLICATIONmay be downloaded from the NWARPC website at: nwarpc.org. Applications are also available at the NWARPC office located at 1311 Clayton Street, Springdale, AR 72762. FY 2014STP-A Applications must be received no later than 4:00 p.m. (CST), January 3, 2014. Any applications submitted after this deadline will not be considered.

Section 1108 of the Moving Ahead for Progress in the 21st Century Act (MAP-21) establishes the STP under 23 U.S.C. 133. Section 1105 of MAP-21 provides for the apportionment of funds under 23 U.S.C. 104. The STP-A is a federally funded, 80% Federal/20% Local, reimbursable program.STP-A funds must be used for eligible projects that are submitted by eligible entities and chosen through a competitive process.
