The search is on! Northtown Church, a church of Christ serving the Milwaukee community, has begun to search for our next minister. The candidate will be a motivated, effective communicator passionate about sharing God’s Biblical plan to the world.

About Northtown

We are a racially mixed church.

Over the last ten months we have experienced challenges with significant changes in our leadership and attendance.

We have a current eldership of two men with plans on additional elders in the near future.

We have a Praise Team made up of men and women.

We have used drama, poetry and other readingsto illustrate God’s Word.

We believe we are saved by grace, through faith and commanded to be baptized.

The eldership values and views the minister as a part of the leadership team.

Our worship style is a fusion of traditional and contemporary

We have just completed a major bldg. project (expansion and updating) of our worship facility and youth room.

Our Future

Our Future certainly revolves around Christ and the Great Commission. We see our next step involving these components:

We must develop great leaders at Northtown.

We must establish great relationships within our communitywith both believers and non-believers.

We must provide quality programs for our youth and adult education.

Required Qualifications

  • Masters in Ministry or Divinity preferred; minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Bible, Theology or Ministry
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in preaching and ministry
  • Demonstrated skill in preaching, teaching and leadership
  • Demonstrated knowledge of scriptures
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to relate to a diverse church
  • Experience using technology to enhance worship services
