Sanctions: AASSA pending

Format: Modified ability on 111m and 100m track. Distance races.

Meet Deadlines:

  1. Thursday, March 2,2017 at 10 pm.Please email the Club Summary Sheet to Kari Armella at . Please ensure an SSC # and DOB for all skaters. No late entries will be accepted. ATTN: the race track for this competition will be open ice on the lake.
  2. Monday, March 6, 2017. Our Chief Recorder, will send out a preliminary list of skaters and divisions to each club. Please check this list very carefully to ensure that there are no errors or omissions. Please have coaches review the division placements for your skaters. If corrections are necessary, please send these changes to Shari at:efore Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at 8 pm.
  3. A final skater/division list will be distributed on Friday, March 10th.
    At this point, only scratches will be accepted. No additions or division changes will be made!

Entry Fees:

$35/Skater $10/Active Start. Please make cheques payable to Northern Lites Speed Skating Club,one cheque per club please. Registration will be in the Officials tent before racing begins.

On-Site Food: There will be food/drinks provided for officials, volunteers, and coaches.

The Pond Hockey Concession will be open. There will be a Tim Horton’s truck on-site.

All other snacks and or water should be brought in for skaters and spectators.

A signup genius will be emailed to your club for Official and Volunteer positions. All help is greatly appreciated.

Parents & Skaters: Please make sure you have all of your warm clothes and layers as we are outside all day. There will be a warming tent for skaters’ pre & post racing. There is no shelter at the bleachers if it is windy day. There will be a large heated concession tent a short distance from our race track.

SKATERS ARE ADVISED TO BRING FACE COVERING AND LARGE MITTS IN CASE THE WEATHER IS COLD. UNDERWEAR LAYERS ARE RECOMMENDED.
