Mozart Strings!!!!

(Learn how to play the violin, viola, cello, or bass)

Northern Kentucky School of Music’s goal is to offer this important outreach program to local schools, which at present have no active string program. These string classes will not only teach your child music and the violin, but important values such as individual discipline, creativity, and teamwork.

When: Tuesdays and Fridays 3:45 – 4:45 pm

(First Class: Tuesday, September 2, 2014)

Where: Hinsdale Elementary

Registration: $175 a semester/per person (This does not include the rental fee.)

Rental Fee: Violin/Viola $17.06 a month, Cello $37.36 a month, and bass $48.04 a month

(25 student max / 14 student min.)

Who: 3rd and 4th Grade

How: No prior music experience necessary

String students must attend all classes

Students will be given all the equipment and books needed for class

Students must practice 10 to 15 min a day on their own

Why: Unique and fun experience playing a string instrument/ Teaches individual discipline

One year to discover an enthusiasm for their instrument/ Team venture

The Parent Meeting for Mozart Strings

Wednesday, August 27, at 6:30 p.m. at Hinsdale Elementary. At this time, NKSM along with the Baroque Violin Shop will be there to answer questions about the class, tuition, rental program and fee. All children wanting to participate in the class need to attend this meeting to be measured for their instrument of choice. Registration and rental fees will be collected at the parent meeting.

WHAT ABOUT the 2nd YEAR??

Northern Kentucky Beethoven Strings

A second (2nd) year class that requires the completion of the Mozart Strings, Beginning Strings, or one year of private lessons for 4th - 6th graders

Where: Hinsdale Elementary / When: Tuesdays 5:00 – 6:30 pm

Registration: $175 per student/ per semester (First Class: Tuesday, September 2, 2014)

9 student min. or the class will be moved to a different location or cut back in length

The Beethoven Parent Meeting Wednesday, August 27, 7:15pm at Hinsdale Elem.

Exchange your instrument for a larger instrument if needed. Registration will be collected at the parent meeting.
