Rolepurposeandroledimension / This role will oversee the delivery, administration and fundraising of the Help Musicians Northern Ireland brand. This will include:.
  • Managing the HMNI budgets, targets and objectives as laid out by the NI Director and CEO
  • To act as an on point fundraiser and ‘promoter’ for all things HMNI.
  • Acting as a contact for all HMNI music industry – cross-genre.
  • Managing the Development Officer NI post and generally advocating on behalf of HMNI’s interests within the local music scene.
  • Liaising with all HMUK teams to establish activity and deliverables in NI.
  • Acting as a point of contact for all HMNI community fundraising activity.
  • Advocating on behalf of HMNI’s interests within the local music scene.
  • Acting as a conduit for all HMNI creative, health/welfare and comms/ fundraising information for dissemination within the area.
  • To align and retain strong lines of communication with the NI Music Liaison

Communications and Fundraising /
  • Work with the Director to establish a clear programme to help spread the reach and impact of HMNI ultimately increasing awareness (and income generated) from supporters across the locality
  • Help coordinate all HMNI representation in various activities across the locality, such as fundraising, industry support and health/welfare awareness-raising events
  • Help support and monitor the impact of HMNI operationson the local music industry and through fundraising performance
  • Work with the communications team to plan regular contact with HMNIsupporters, musicians and those closely allied to the local music industry including use of e-newsletters, social media and events
  • Meeting and interviewing prospective contacts and supporters, match their skills and abilities to charity needs and continue to monitor and support them on both an individual and group level
  • Use established networks to raise awareness of and create volunteers for HMNI across a variety of roles and opportunities

Industry /
  • Work to increase HMNI networks and visibility in the area
  • Represent HMNI at key industry events across NI with the Ni Music Liaison
  • Coordinate regular industry/stakeholder engagements which will then in turn inform the ongoing planning and implementation in the area
  • Be the conduit between key NI (and related) artists and music professionals and HMUK/NI to ensure all programmes/activities/strategies and plans are mindful of the needs of the province and community.
  • Working with the NI Director, CEO, Fundraising Director and Creative Director to establish a clear understanding of the HMUK programme within NI.
  • To help spread the reach and impact of HMNIand ultimately increase awareness and understanding of opportunities for the industry across the locality.
  • Working with the NI Development Officer to advise on event/showcase organisation to engage the local music industry and broaden industry development opportunities
  • Help coordinate all HMNI representation in various activities across the locality, such as industry support, the creative programme and musician’s health/welfare awareness-raising events
  • Help support and monitor the impact of HMNI operationson the local music industry and through industry performance
  • Work with the communications team to help brief on regular contact with HMNIsupporters, musicians and those closely allied to the local music industry

Project management /
  • Work closely with the Fundraising & Development Manager, EventsOfficer, Creative Programme and Health & Welfare team to establish a growing range of NI opportunities (industry, community and fundraising) and ensure they are co-ordinated effectively, complementing or enhancing any schemes currently in place

Reporting and evaluation /
  • Keep accurate written records of industry links, volunteer activity and monitoring information for regular staff meetings, reporting to the line manager as required
  • Work with the Marketing Database Officer to ensure all information and records are kept up to date to allow for sufficient regular reporting and efficient communication with all volunteers
  • Actively ensure all teams at HMUK are kept up to date with progress of the NI programme.

Business planning /
  • Work with the Fundraising & Development Manager and the Development Officer (NI) to advise on developing business plans and engagement strategies for anyHMNI opportunities
  • To advise HMUK on opportunities for business growth within NI and how this relates to the NI music community
