SUMMER CAMP
Dear Parents,
Ms. Jennifer DeJesso will be our Summer Camp Site Supervisor for 2017. This will be Ms. DeJesso’s 8th season at Vermeule. She is a Fairleigh Dickinson graduate with a Master’s Degree in education. We have a planned comprehensive program offering both educational and recreational activities including weekly trips.
We are not in a position to announce trips or meal plans at this time. Those areas will be worked out very shortly and presented at our parent orientation meeting. Recreational and educational weekly trips will be offered. We also plan on having a camp theme each week as well as having periodic on-site guests.
Time will be spent each week working with campers on their summer reading and math packets from school.
The weekly trips and daily lunches are offered for an additional cost. Campers are welcome to bring their lunch. Campers may choose to go on any trip or remain in camp. You may pick and choose your trips. You will have more notice about these trips so that you can plan accordingly.
Once weekly trips are announced, it’s important that we fill a bus. If there is a lack of interest for a particular trip, we reserve the right to cancel the trip.
Our camp program is offered from a minimum of 7 weeks to a maximum of 9 weeks starting Monday June 26th, and ending Friday August 25th.
Regular hours of operation will be from 9am to 3pm. Before-care and after-care will be available for additional fees. (See further details below)
We have a four tier registration program for children from 4 years old to 12 years old. (Age is determined by your child’s age as of July 1st, 2017) If a child is 4 years old by July 1st, 2017, he/she is eligible to enroll provided they are toilet trained. No child may attend unless they are toilet trained.
NEW for 2017
Plan A is considered regular hours (9am drop off. 3pm pick up). IF YOU PURCHASE PLAN A, YOU MAY NOT DROP OFF BEFORE 9AM OR PICK UP AFTER 3PM
Plan B is the same as plan A with before hours drop-off (7:30am) and after hours pick-up (6:30pm) Plan B is from 7:30am to 6:30pm
Plan C is early morning drop off (7:30am) with a 3pm pick up
Plan D is regular drop off (9am) with a late pick up (6:30pm)
You may purchase either Plans A,B,C or D or a combination of for 7, 8 or 9 weeks.
For example: You may elect to purchase an 8 week package. 6 weeks may be Plan B, 2 weeks may be plan A, based on your needs. Weeks may not be broken down into days.
You may choose 7 weeks, 8 weeks or 9 weeks over the 9 week period.
Example: Your family may go on vacation for a week or two. You may not need our coverage for those two weeks.
You simply buy the plan that best suits your needs. If you are going to design your own schedule, we must know by June 1st your intentions for the summer.
Since staffing is based on enrollment and weekly participation, it is critical we know your plans for us to insure proper staffing at all times.
EARLY BIRD SPECIAL RATES:
Plan A : $85 per week: 7 weeks = $595, 8 weeks = $680 and 9 weeks = $765
Plan B: $155 per week: 7 weeks = $1085, 8 weeks = $1240 and 9 weeks = $1395
Plan C: $110 per week: 7 weeks = $770, 8 weeks = $880 and 9 weeks = $990
Plan D: $145 per week: 7 weeks = $1015, 8 weeks = $1160 and 9 weeks = $1305
You may select any of the above “early bird” special rates with a NON REFUNDABLE $100 deposit per camper.
If you choose to take advantage of the early bird special, all registration fees must be paid in full by May 14, 2017. Failure to pay in full by May 14th will result in forfeiting the early bird special pricing.
REGULAR REGISTRATION RATES: From May 15, 2017 to May 31st, 2017
Plan A: $90 per week: 7 weeks = $630, 8 weeks = $720, 9 weeks = $81O
Plan B: $165 per week: 7 weeks = $1155, 8 weeks = $1320, 9 weeks = $1485
Plan C: $115 per week: 7 weeks = $805, 8 weeks = $920, 9 weeks = $1035
Plan D: $150 per week: 7 weeks = $1050, 8 weeks = $1200, 9 weeks = $1350
A NON REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT of $100 per camper will guarantee the above rates if paid in full by May 31, 2017
LATE REGISTRATION: From June 1st to July 2nd
Plan A: $95 per week: 7 weeks = $665, 8 weeks = $760, 9 weeks = $855
Plan B: $175 per week: 7 weeks = $1225, 8 weeks = $1400, 9 weeks = $1575
Plan C: $120 per week: 7 weeks = $840, 8 weeks = $960, 9 weeks = $1080
Plan D: $155 per week: 7 weeks = $1085, 8 weeks = $1240, 9 weeks = $1395
No registration will be taken after July 2nd. Registrations will not be pro-rated.
OLDER CHILD REGISTRATION:
Children 13 years old (as of July 1st, 2017) and up (7th and 8th grade) will be offered a discount. Registration fees before June 1st:
Plan A: $40 per week: 7 weeks = $280, 8 weeks = $320 and 9 weeks = $360
Plan B: $75 per week: 7 weeks = $525, 8 weeks = $600 and 9 weeks = $675
Plan C: $65 per week: 7 weeks = $455, 8 weeks = $520 and 9 weeks = $58
Plan D: $100 per week: 7 weeks = $700, 8 weeks = $800 and 9 weeks = $900
From June 1st to July 2nd Registration fees for Children 13 years old and up:
Plan A: $50 per week: 7 weeks = $ 350, 8 weeks = $400 and 9 weeks = $450.
Plan B: $90 per week: 7 weeks = $630, 8 weeks = $720 and 9 weeks = $810
Plan C: $75 per week: 7 weeks = $525, 8 weeks = $600 and 9 weeks = $675
Plan D: $110 per week: 7 weeks = $770, 8 weeks = $880 and 9 weeks = $990
IMPORTANT POINTS TO KNOW
· CAMPERS MAY NOT START UNTIL REGISTRATION IS PAID IN FULL
· PARENTS MAY NOT DROP OFF (EARLIER) OR PICK UP (LATER) THAN THE PLAN PURCHASED.
· CAMPERS MUST BE PICKED BY 3PM OR 6:30 PM. (TIME IS BASED ON YOUR PURCHASE) THERE WILL BE A $15 LATE FEE PENALTY FOR CAMPERS PICKED UP 1-15 MIUNTES LATE, $30 FOR CAMPERS PICKED UP 16 – 30 MINUTES LATE.

· YOU MAY ALSO REGISTER IN PERSON AT THE VERMEULE COMMUNITY CENTER ON MARCH 1, 2 AND 3RD FROM 7PM TO 9PM.
· PROOF OF RESIDENCY WILL BE REQUIRED AT ALL IN-PERSON REGISTRATIONS.
· NO REGISTRATION WILL BE TAKEN AFTER JULY 2ND. NO REGISTRATION WILL BE PRO-RATED.
· SORRY, NO MULTIPLE CHILD DISCOUNTS.
· AS IN THE PAST, WE WILL BE ENROLLING NON NORTH PLAINFIELD RESIDENTS. IF YOU LIVE OUTSIDE OF NORTH PLAINFIELD, YOU MAY SELECT ANY OF THE FOUR OPTIONS ABOVE. PLEASE ADD $100 TO THE PLAN YOU SELECT.
