Quarterly Meeting
When: March 19, 2008 @ 9:30am
Where: Bartow County Agricultural Building located at 320 W. Cherokee Ave
Topic: the Georgia Contractor’s Licensing Law, which is scheduled to become effective 7/01/08.
Directions From I-75: Get off at Exit 288( Cartersville Main St . / Ga 113). Go west on Main St. Go through 6 traffic lights(at the second light is the intersection with Hwy. 41). Do NOT bear left at the 6th traffic light, but continue on Main Street . Go through the 4-way stop at Fite Street , then turn right at the next street on the right ( School St. ); then turn left at the next driveway, then immediately right into the parking lot. YOU ARE THERE! (It is only about 3 miles from I-75). Enter the building (previously an old school, red brick with tile roof) at the double doors in the corner. There is an “American Red Cross” sign at the entrance.
Directions From Dallas on 113: Go past the Ingles on the left, turn left onto Fite Street, go to the 4-way stop, turn left onto Main St, then turn right at the next street on the right(School St.); then turn left at the next driveway, then immediately right into the parking lot. Morgan Wheeler, Hal Cosper and maybe one or two others who have been actively involved with the licensing law will be giving an overview and update of the law and will try to answer questions the members may have. The Northwest GA Inspectors Association has also been invited to attend. Please make a special effort to attend this meeting. If you haven’t done so already, please renew your NGCOA membership.
