FACILITYTaylor YMCA pool is a 6 lane, 25-meter course with starting blocks and non-turbulent lane markers. A Daktronics scoreboard and automatic timing system with buttons at both ends of the course will be used. The depth of the pool at the starting end is 10 feet. Seating capacity is 250 persons. Team seating will be available in the gymnasium and all purpose room. Non-swimmers will be required to enter and exit the pool area through the locker rooms.

PARKINGParking at the Taylor YMCA is quite limited. Cars not parked in marked spots will be towed. Additional parking will be available at Larkin High School, just south of Taylor YMCA, at the corner of McLean Boulevard and Larkin Avenue, 1/2 blocks from the YMCA.

Each swimmer will need to check in prior to the closing time with their Coach.

Please make certain all participating swimmers and their parents are aware of this.

EVENTSThe events will consist of the standard YMCA meet event list.

In addition, we will include 6&under events separate from 8&under and

200’s BR/BK/Fly /400 IM.

The events will be run as a deck seeded timed finals.

ENTRY FEESIndividual Events:$ 4.00 per event

Relay Events:$10.00 per event

ENTRY LIMITSSwimmers are eligible to compete in a maximum of 4 events, no more than 3 of which may be individual events. Swimmers will compete in the age group with respect to their age on December 1st, 2016.

ENTRIESEntries will be taken on a first come, first served basis until the meet is full and all entries need to

be mailed an in electronic form sent to , prior to the entry deadline.

Complete entries will include the following: Entry Fees, Signed Team Summary & Release Form, Completed Volunteer Formof Timers & Officials All entries must be received by the entry chairperson no later than Monday, January 30,2017

BULLPENTo run the meet efficient we will run a bullpen for all swimmers, expecting all swimmers to check in with and remain in the bullpen for the entire time leading up to their event. Swimmers will be notified as to the events being called through the use of a megaphone and prominently placed placards signifying which events are being called.

AWARDSAwards will be given to places 1-6 medals and 7-12 Ribbons and will be available to coaches following the conclusion of the meet.

TIMERSEach team will be required to provide 2 timers who will be assigned to a lane for a period of time to be determined by our meet director. Please list your timing coordinator on the volunteer form. Our meet director will contact him/her with timing assignment details. We encourage teams to schedule multiple shifts of timers in advance to avoid confusion.

OFFICIALSEach team will be required to provide officials. The meet referee will schedule all officials. Please see the attached Volunteer Form.

ADMISSIONAdmission is Free!

CONCESSIONS/SALESA full service concessions will be available on-site.

SPECIAL ITEMSThe fitness center (located in the gymnasium) at Taylor YMCA will be barricaded with yellow caution tape. No one will be allowed in this area. Any swimmer crossing into this area will be disqualified from competition. No exceptions!! Taylor YMCA is a smoke-free facility. Childcare for non-swimmers will not be available.
