MUI REVIEW – Randall Huber:

Randall reviewed the following information with the group:

  1. Reminder to complete the entire MUI form when reporting.
  1. Continue to send Unusual Incidents (UI) to or
  1. Examples of UI’s: falls, disruptive behavior, minor injury, restraint if identified in BSP, Illness, Bruises, Med error (with no adverse reactions), choking(no Heimlich), SIB, communicable disease, Infection control, use or possession of weapons, vehicular accidents, bio-hazardous accidents, unauthorized use or possession of licit or illicit substances, Peer to Peer injury (accidental or unintended victim), property destruction. Remember that at the this link,Health Safety Toolkit Providers, there is information and sample forms.
  1. When completing an MUI report it needs to be sent to .

Transportation GPS:

Dave Mitchell from Summit DD transportation reviewed a new tracking program that will be up and running on June 1, 2011. This technology program will allow families and providers to track individuals on their respective busses. Included in with these minutes is a copy of the handbook which identifies how to access the system. If you have questions about this information please contact Dave Mitchell at or 330 634-8786.

Provider resource information on the Summit DD website:

The Summit DD website, has resources available for providers. Currently there are sample documentation forms which can be used. Additionally, the resource page hasthe minutes and agendas, as well as any handouts from the collaborative meeting. Minutes will no longer be emailed. Minutes should be posted within 10 working days after the meetings.

DODD billing training:

DODD offers monthly free training on billing through the MBS system. DODD Training/Class Registration System will get you to the place to register for these classes if interested.

CPT:

At the July 28, 2011 collaborative meeting, there will be a review of the CPT tool. This is not a tool that independent providers will need to know how to use, however, you should know what it does and how teams use it.
