In Attendance: Annette Snyder, Richell Vaughn, Gina Salem, Laura Paris, Kim Irvin, Bobbi Maskew, Marnie Bennington, Jeni Marks, Lisa Dick, Sarah Maksymovitch, Amy Zavac, Barbara Neuman-Scott, Donna Clark, and Matthew Hicks

Meeting called to order @ 6:05pm by Gina Salem

  1. Reading and Approval of Minutes from November 5, 2014

Minutes from November meeting approved: 1st by Annette Snyder, 2nd by Laura Paris,all approved

  1. Principal (Mr. Hicks)
  2. Acuity test this week, precursor to ISTEP.
  3. Acuity- used to us current and previous standards: now have all current standards on the test. Standards on the test are given calendar time when taken
  4. 30th % normal since 3rd way through the year. This is to be expected at this time of the year; mind set change for students and parents.
  5. Teachers have been asked to explain this to students: more work needs done, will send detailed description to parents explaining
  6. ALL A’s breakfast next week, All A’s breakfast Tues and Wed.
  7. 8th to be freshman can start with Mr. Moorehead, Jen Edwards is person of contact at the High School.
  8. Discussion of and/or all a's. Stacey will pay for difference. Invitations have already gone out. Funding concern.
    Suggestions:
    - do awards ceremony quarterly with no food
    -do an end of year thing for ice cream
  1. Student spotlight: Trevor Zavac 8th grade: works at Conner Prairie
  • Youth volunteer started in 5th grade. 10-18 years old in program
  • Work in 1st or 3rd person
  • 1836 interpret life in 1st person.
  • Essay, application, interview, then got hired
  • Put 120 hours of my time; 827 last year
  • 20-30 accepted each year

    a. Bobbi Maskew: NAC facility for fundraiser
    Black light Zumba class : kids Friday night

1 hr. $10 per person all proceeds back to school. 40 dollars for set up

Fire code: 32 is number kid so $280 comes back to school
