ENTRIES CLOSE SATURDAY 20thMAY, 2017

ENTRY FEE:Cheques payable to “The Elms School” £25.00 per competitor for the Tetrathlon and £16.00 for the Triathlon.

TIMES: Please send a 10" x 7" stamped, addressed envelope (or e-mail address preferably) with your entry form for final instructions, directions and times.

PRIZES:Medal to winner of each phase in each class.

Rosettes: 1st - 6thindividuals in each class

1st - 6thteams in all classes

Please would competitors be correctly dressed in riding clothes for prize giving.

TEAMS: These should be made up of 3 or 4 competitors, best three scores to count–of either girls or boys. Teams may only be mixed in classes 5, 6 or 7. If you wish to be in a specific team please state this clearly on the entry form, otherwise teams will be allocated by the organisers.

The organisers of this event have taken reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present. For these measures to be effective everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring, and must obey the instructions of the organisers and all officials and stewards.

The Pony Club Tetrathlon 2017 Rule Book will apply to this competition.

RIDING: Competitors may be led or have an accompanying runner in classes 1 and 2 but will incur 200 penalty points as a result, irrespective of the number of fences at which they receive outside assistance. Competitors will not be eliminated for 3 refusals at any one fence, but will incur a maximum of 360 penalty points at that fence and be allowed to continue. However they must retire after two falls.

N.B. Crash hats must be tagged as per Pony Club rules for 2017. Any which are not tagged will be inspected before the start of the cross-country.

SHOOTING: Guns must be kept in their cases until the Firing Point Steward gives order to “unbox” them at the start of a detail, and must be “boxed” again before the competitor leaves the firing point. Please note that this rule will be strictly enforced. At all other times air pistols must be stored in their boxes and locked in a secure place (i.e. in a vehicle out of sight). No person aged under 18 may be responsible for, or carry a gun.

The owners of the premises and organisers will not be responsible for any loss, damage or accident to any animal, person or property, and the application for entry to this event constitutes acceptance of these conditions.

OBJECTIONS

Please note that any objections to the scoring for each discipline will only be entertained for a maximum of half an hour after the scores are put on the board, and can only be made by Team Managers. After that time it will be too late to make an objection. This is to try to cut down on waiting times before prize giving.

There will be a catering van in attendance

DOGS MUST BE KEPT ON LEADS AT ALL TIMES (AND CLEARED UP AFTER!)
