Dear Sir,

We would like to draw your kind attention regarding negative marking with enhanced syllabus of the proposed LDCE for SDE (T) in comparison of earlier LDCE which will definitely create lot of hardship in the way of success for candidates waiting since long time.

We have already submitted our grievances vide letter under reference to the Director (HR) at that time and have received favorable assurance of getting consideration but unfortunately exam was postponed. Now we once again reproduce here the comparison of syllabus for LDCE held earlier and now to invite your attention with the hope of being considered.

Paper-1: (syllabus is divided in four sections i.e. A B C and D)

·  In the last LDCE conducted in 2007 there was option for the candidates in section-A to choose any one out of six switches but now they have to attain all the switches means syllabus for Section-A has been increased by 500%.

·  In the last LDCE conducted in 2007 a candidate has to opt only two sections from B (Optical sys..), C (GSM & WLL..) and D (Computer N/w, BB…) and this time these choices have been eliminated and all the sections are mandatory means syllabus has been increased by 33.33% for the mentioned sections.

·  In the last LDCE conducted in 2007 paper was objective type and minimum qualifying marks was 50% without negative marking but this time paper is objective type but syllabus has been increased many fold and same qualifying marks is proposed with negative marking.

Paper-2: (Advance Technical-Special)

·  In the last LDCE conducted in 2007 a candidate had the choice to chose any one Section out of 7 (Seven) on different subject A, B, C, D, E, and F in the exam hall after judging the level of questions. now, this advantage of choosing paper has been withdrawn/ eliminated as candidate has to choose at the time of applying and filling up the form.

·  In the last LDCE conducted in 2007 paper was subjective type and minimum qualifying mark was 50% without any negative marking but now paper is objective type and qualifying mark is 50% with negative marking.

Apart from the vast syllabus and introduction of negative marking, candidates have loosed several chances to appear in the exams which they had received if LDCE would have been conducted every year. Past record shows that even more than 50% vacancies remain unfilled in every LDCE with older syllabus and without negative marking due to minimum qualifying marks in each paper now, It is hard fact that syllabus have been increased many fold and no candidates have exposure even in 50% as mentioned in the syllabus hence it is just difficult to get 50% marks with negatives marking and objective type paper which require deep knowledge on the subject.

Dear Sir, the basic motto of LDCE is to provide faster career to the talented among the eligible candidates but there are number of vacancies in the LDCE quota despite the facts that many have crossed the eligibility by more than 6 to 7 years. In this situation putting 50% qualifying marks with negative marking is high injustices to the candidates already deprived in several respects.

I humbly request your benign authority to either reduce the syllabus at par with last LDCE or remove negative marking and reduce the cut-off marks so that level ground competition can be provided to the deprived candidates with respect to the earlier LDCE.

Yours faithfully

(R.P. Shahu)
