NO-BALL SCORED FROM BY THE BATSMAN

A no- ball is called and the batsman hits it and 3 runs are completed. The batsman is credited with 3 runs, the no-ball (1 run penalty) is added to the extras as a no-ball. 4 runs are added to the total and a 3 with a circle around it appears in the bowlers analysis. 4 runs are added to his progressive analysis. The only signal from the umpire will be the no-ball signal

NO-BALL SCORED FROM BY THE BATSMAN/ BOUNDARY

A no-ball is called and the batsman hits it for 4. The batsman is credited with 4 runs, the no-ball (1 run penalty) is added to the extras as a no-ball. A total of 5 runs is added to the total and a 4 with a circle around it appears in the bowlers analysis. 5 runs are added to his progressive analysis. The signal from the umpire will be firstly for the no-ball and then for the “4”.

NO-BALL PLUS ADDITIONAL RUNS SCORED

A no-ball is called, the ball comes off the batsman’s person and the batsmen complete 2 runs. All 3 runs (the 2 completed runs and the 1 run penalty for the no-ball) are scored as no-balls. The umpire should signal “no-ball followed by the leg byes signal (to indicate that the batsman has not hit it). This does not mean that the runs are to be recorded as “leg byes”

WIDE BALL-NO OTHER RUNS

A Wide is called , but no other runs are made. 1 run is recorded in the extras section under wides, 1 run added to the progressive total and a dot with a circle around it is recorded in the bowlers analysis and 1run is added to his progressive analysis.

WIDE BALL PLUS ADDITIONAL RUNS

(a) A wide is called and it goes past the wicketkeeper and to the boundary. 5 runs (4 plus 1 penalty run for the wide) are recorded in the extras section under wides, 5 runs added to the progressive total and a 4 with a circle around it is recorded in the bowlers analysis. 5 runs are added to his progressive analysis. The signal from the umpire will be firstly for the wide and then for the 4

(b) A wide is called and it goes past the wicketkeeper and the batsmen run 2. 3 runs (the 2 completed runs plus 1penalty for the wide) are recorded in the extras section under “wides”, 3 runes added to progressive total and a 2 with a circle around it is recorded in the bowlers analysis.. Three runs are added to his progressive analysis. The umpire will signal wides.

Under 19

A maximum spell of 8 consecutive overs.

A maximum daily allocation of 20 overs (not match)

Under 17

A maximum spell of 6 consecutive overs.

A maximum daily allocation of 16 overs (not match)

A bowler shall have a minimum rest period between spells of at least the same number of overs bowled from the same end as the bowlers immediately concluded spell

Scorers to notify fielding captain before commencement of the bowlers last over of each spell

RULE 24:Bowling restrictions

The following bowling restrictions shall apply

(a) In Under 17 matches no player shall bowl more than 10 overs.

(b) In under 15 matches no player shall bowl more than 10 overs.

(c) In Under 13 and Under 11 matches no player shall bowl more than 6 overs, provided however, there shall be no limitation in Under 13 matches, after a compulsory retired batsman has returned to the crease.

These limitations are on a per innings basis.
