NNU Trustee Matching Scholarship AwardRENEWAL APPLICANTS

Nampa First Church of the Nazarene has adopted the following policy regarding contributions to its students through Northwest Nazarene University’s Trustees Matching Scholarship.

This policy reflects a desire to support our youth, both financially as well as spiritually, while providing even footing for all applicants. Those who meet the conditions of this policy and receive approval will be recipients of a matching award set forth by NNU. Details regarding the matching program may be found in NNU’s catalogue.

  1. Scholarships are available for each student planning to attend NNU in the coming school year/ semester by submitting a completed application to the Nampa First Church Generational Ministries Department (c/o Pastor Nate Roskam).
  2. For those who do not attend the first semester of a school year, applications will be accepted for subsequent semesters when appropriate, but are recommended at least 30 days prior to registration.
  3. Scholarships are available for those students or families who regularly attend one or more of Nampa First Church’s recurring services, small groups, and/or other ministries.
  4. The NFC Trustee Matching Scholarship Committee will review the application and forward recommendations. Contributions will be remitted according to the incremental semester schedules after approval has been received.
  5. Nampa First Church reserves the right to withdraw, cancel, or discontinue scholarships upon recommendation from the NFC Trustee Matching Scholarship Committee.

Applicants Must:

  1. Complete and submit all application forms to the NFC Office (c/o Pastor Nate Roskam) by June 30, 2015.
  2. Complete a renewal application each year that the student attends NNU and wishes to obtain the Trustee Matching Scholarship Award.
  3. Complete all answers on the application.
  4. Complete a 200 word essay describing their relationship with Jesus Christ, two or three ups and downs of this last school year, their connectedness to Nampa First Church, and one way the NFC Faith community can best support them during this year/semester.
  5. Be enrolled full-time.

By submitting this application, I affirm that the facts set forth in it are true and complete. I understand that the NFC Trustee Matching Scholarship Committee will review this application and I will receive a notification on its approval status. I also understand that I may be contacted by NFC and invited to young adult ministries and/or Trustee Matching Scholarship recipient functions.
